We Import for ourself. We do not advertise ourself as Importer because we do not wish to fall in the category of dog Brookers.
However, other fancies have approched us at times, requesting ceertain imports for certain porposes were we did assist for the discriminating Fancies.
Examples:

The 1981 and 1982 National had a lot of Larry Parkers Imports compeating. Larry managed to bring to the US quite a few dogsthat was not suppose to ever leave Germany.
Three of the dogs that contributed strongly in Anna's breeding programm are to be mentioned:

A Tribute to Sonja vom Birgberg SchH3 FH KKL1"a" Our first German Shepherd for breeding
Sonja was not our first German Shepherd there was Flicka and Kitty vom Falkenfelser Schloß, Janka v.d. Bickelwiese,Lord vom Westbruch SchH2 "a"AD and Xito vom Heiligenmoschelerberg SchH2 KKL2"a" All were just family pets and a big learning experience in our endeavor. Before we aquired Sonja, we were searching for nearly one year. We knew exactly what we wanted and it was pure luck when we came across the ad in the SV classified.I guess we qualified, because she was to live in the house with our children and to be worked in competition. So when we was greeted by her offspring at the gate and then Sonja was let out, Larry and I knew that very instant this was it, this was the one we had been searching for all this time. When Sonja walked thru the door as we came home from our drive from Frankfurt to Bremerhaven the other 2 dogs that we had knew immediantly that she was the boss.I am here now and I am in charge I am number one and you 2 males might as well know this right now.
The Sonja and Larry Parker Team
Well, she came to our home on Sunday and on Wednesday was the usual training at the club in Bremerhaven, so load up the Kids and dogs like always. Our club helpers and everyone at the club was excited to see the new dog.We brought the Pedigree along and Breedsurvey, everyone had to see. This was going to be a competition dog we got her for competition.Sonja was already known all over Frankfurt and surrounding area for going home with the top trophies."Let me get a feel for her on leash first" was the words of our helpers Manni and Ingo.A smile from ear to ear, what a dog.Well, Sonja knew exactly the training times and the trail times she would show her stubborn personality at times while practicing obedience and have Larry sweating right before the big events, but on that weekend after driving to a different club with spectators, flags flying, music playing,Sonja knew it was her time to perform. That head came up, she was so self assured. There was a regional champion award, newspaper clippings, demonstrations at places, people would place bets outside the grounds if she was going to win again. This one female put all the males over in the shade because it was her time and day.
Sonja was 7 years old when we arrived in the US. At that time in 1977 Schutzhund was barely known. We learned from an advertisement that there was a Schutzhund movement going on in the US.We found a listing of a trail in Miami and Larry dicided to take Sonja, who had just came off a litter and had not been worked in several months. The Nations top dogs and handlers were entered.Sonja performed her usual obedience and protection which demanded the attention of all the spectators present. We founded our own club that same year we were going to help make Schutzhund a popular sport, a sport for everyone.Sonja done several more trails one time our daughter showed her for high in trail.Sonja and Larry put on Impressive Demos
in Schools and TV live with filming.Sonja was a teacher for the helpers we trained. It was o.k.for a helper student to fall or step on a dogs toe.We are forever gratefull to all the breeders that it took to "create" this dog with this disposition. The Lierberg dogs and the old herding lines.
Sonja as Mother dog
Sonja's first litter that we had was whelped in our bedroom. I was up all night and Larry couldn't stand it he had a few beer in the livingroom. The Taxi cabs in Bremerhaven was on alert because our breedwarden was a taxidriver.14 Puppies. We had 5 litters in total with Sonja. She was the best mother dog. One time after I feed her she ate like crazy and then ran to her puppies and as the puppies licked at her mouth she vomited all of her food and they ate it up like there was no tomorrow. She had some old instincts still, that has became very rare nowdays.I watched her raising puppies she would jump in between them and dicipline them when the puppy fights got to serios. She would always pick that one favorite which was very much like her and baby it for the longest time, we had a time with some of these because they turned out to be late catching on in the protection, it took a lot of extra effort to get them turned on.The ground would be shaking and they still would not feel threatened.Sonja showed us what a German Shepherds Temperament is meant to be we will never forget we will always put disposition on top.Beauty is not complete without the many inborned traits that need to be preserved.
